U12 GIRLS OPEN DIVISION ADDED TO 2026 TROPICAL 7s LINE-UP

TROPICAL 7s is proud to announce the launch of a brand-new U12 Girls only division for the 2026 TROPICAL 7s tournament (3/4 April 2026) in Tampa, Florida, giving our youngest female athletes their own platform to compete at North America’s largest rugby festival.

The newly added U12 Girls division (born on or after 1 Sept 2013) will line up alongside the already well-established U12 Coed Division which remains part of the tournament’s division lineup, allowing boys, girls and mixed teams to compete next Easter. All U12 matches will be played on a dedicated ‘mini’ pitch and will feature referees experienced with this age group to help guide and develop the players’ knowledge and understanding of the game yet within a competitive tournament environment.

This exciting addition comes as the girls’ game continues to grow rapidly in both popularity and depth. By introducing a U12 Girls Division, TROPICAL 7s reaffirms its commitment to providing equal opportunities for both boys and girls rugby - a commitment that has made the event the largest gender-equal rugby tournament in the world, consistently attracting 100+ girl’s and women’s teams each year (200+ teams overall).

Team registration for all divisions—including the new U12 Girls Division is currently open. Teams are encouraged to register early as division numbers are capped and typically sell out well before the tournament’s registration closing date (13th March 2026). Please click the buttom below.
