TROPICAL 7s LAUNCHES 2023 OFFICIAL RECRUITER PROGRAM: Rugby recruiters from across the USA and around the globe are invited to attend the 2023 TROPICAL 7s, a leading international Youth Rugby Sevens tournament to be held on 7th and 8th April 2023 (Fri/Sat of Easter weekend) at the Tournament Sportsplex of Tampa Bay in Florida, USA.
The TROPICAL 7s supports the identification and recruitment of aspiring young talent and has been regularly attended by national selectors, college scouts, professional franchises and rugby academies from across the USA as well as internationally. The 2023 event is expected to be our largest and most prestigious event to date with 150+ youth sides expected to compete over the 2-day tournament.
As an official recruiter to the 2023 TROPICAL 7s, recruiters will be able to access a number of exclusive tournament benefits, including:
Observation of all tournament matches on Friday 7th & Saturday 8th April 2023.
Observation of the Tropical 7s Athlete Combine, USA Rugby's talent ID session and team training sessions on Thursday 6th April 2023.
Information pack provided (via email) shortly before the start of the tournament including a list of participating teams, complete player rosters, coach contacts, match schedule and field map. Access to data collected from the Athlete Combine can be provided after the event on request.
Opportunity to promote your program onsite between 6th-8th April 2023 (either bring your own tent or rent a 10ft x 10ft pop-up tent for an additional $75 - subject to availability).
Your program will be listed on a dedicated official recruiter page on www.tropical7s.com (program name, description, logo, contact details, website) until the end of 2023.

1 x parking permit included - parking is chargeable on both tournament days. Available for pick up on Thursday 6th April from the Tropical 7s Welcome Desk at the venue.
1 x access to the tournament livestream included - every match field throughout the tournament will have its own livestream. Livestream login details will be emailed shortly before the start of the tournament.
The 2023 Tropical 7s official recruiter package costs $125 per registered program.
The TROPICAL 7s is open to youth teams from around the globe including schools, clubs, universities, academies, representative teams and invitational sides. Following on from the success of the 2022 TROPICAL 7s, the 2023 tournament expands to 15 divisions (up from 11 divisions in 2022) with both 'elite' and 'open' divisions added at U23 Mens & Womens, U16 Boys and U14 boys age grades. The U12 'coed' division returns following its successful introduction last year. Please see below for a full list of divisions that will feature at this April's event:
U18 Boys: born on or after 1 September 2004 (elite and open divisions)
U18 Girls: born on or after 1 September 2004 (elite and open divisions)
U16 Boys: born on or after 1 September 2006 (elite and open divisions)

U14 Boys: born on or after 1 September 2008 (elite & open divisions)

The tournament returns to the the Tampa Sportsplex, a purpose-built tournament facility completed in 2018 consisting of 15 professionally maintained full-size pitches, each with its own LED lighting and live stream capability. This impressive facility allows the Tropical 7s to continue to expand and grow as one of the world’s largest and most prestigious youth rugby tournaments. The venue is conveniently located just 10 minutes from downtown Tampa and only a 20-minute drive from Tampa International Airport (TPA).
