TROPICAL 7s is excited to announce a new partnership with Positively Rugby, a global collaboration business for rugby that aspires to promote the goodness and leadership attributes of people involved in the worldwide rugby community.
Positively Rugby becomes a global outreach partner and will support the strategy and global expansion of TROPICAL 7s including social media, connecting teams, establishing new partnerships, and supporting event operations.
“We are honored to be involved with TROPICAL 7s for the 2018 tournament and beyond," said Positively Rugby's Founder and CEO Jennie Reid (pictured). "I attended the inaugural TROPICAL 7s international youth rugby sevens event earlier this year and was extremely impressed with the organisers, volunteers, guest coaches, facilities, and the teams competing. More teams need to know about this unique, extraordinary tournament in a top tourist destination, and we are really happy to be globally promoting it.”
Positively Rugby began with Jennie’s years spent in New Zealand, becoming immersed in the culture and true spirit of rugby and its unique, strong values that are so evident globally. Positively Rugby now works on business development, social media, and market affiliations by connecting the global rugby community to showcase what rugby is all about via its diverse and unique network -- that will prove valuable for its partnership with the TROPICAL 7s.
“It is very exciting for us to welcome Positively Rugby to our team as a global outreach partner,” said TROPICAL 7s Executive Director John Siner. “Jennie and her team have been doing amazing things for the benefit of the game of rugby, and their work is a perfect fit for our event as we share the same international outlook and are both aligned to grow the game and make TROPICAL 7s a world-class tournament.”
"The TROPICAL 7s is youth tournament where you will be able to compete against teams from countries you’d likely not otherwise meet, experiencing true international rugby culture," said Reid. "Participants will learn about other teams, meet rugby players from all over the world, and develop themselves with spectacular experiences on and off the field."
Jennie and her colleagues at Positively Rugby promote the values of rugby, especially community goodness/charitable affiliations and leadership attributes, using the #RugbyGood tagline. More information for Positively Rugby is found on www.positivelyrugby.com.
